The second training within the Training Program for wildlife guides, which is realized as one of the activities of the “Hoo Hoo Project – Creation of Owl and Other Wildlife Experiences”, was held in Tutin in the period from 02 – 04 February 2022, in organization of Regional Tourist Organisation of Sandžak.
The topic of the new training was the biodiversity of the Pešter plateaucave, with a special focus on the diversity of mammals in the cross-border area. The three-day training consisted of theoretical part and field work of introducing future guides about the tourist potentials of the municipality of Tutin. In total 25 future guides from Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, Berane, Petnjica, Rožaje, Prijepolje, Sjenica, Tutin and Novi Pazar gathered on this occasion to get acquainted with the biodiversity of the area.
The first training on the topic of mushroom diversity was held in November in Rožaje, and in May the participants of the Training Program will visit Pljevlja and learn about the medicinal plants of the project region.
The Hoo Hoo project aims to encourage the development of tourism based on the natural heritage of wild plant and animal species in the cross-border area between Serbia and Montenegro.
The project is implementing by Center for Protection and Research of Birds from Podgorica in cooperation with project partners NGO North Land from Berane, Regional Tourist Organization Sandzak from Novi Pazar and the Association of Citizens Jadovnik from Prijepolje.
