Training sessions will be organized in Bijelo Polje on October 15, 2019 and in Prijepolje on October 16, 2019 2019 within the project PORALIST. A team of experts from the Institute for Medicinal Plants Research “Dr. Josif Pančić“ will give lectures on medicinal herbs, in the field of sustainable collection, storage, production, cultivation, composting and protection of medicinal plants.
Through 4 training modules the skills and knowledge of actors, that dealing with medical herbs in the territory of both countries, will be improved. The aim of the training sessions is to establish a sustainable model for the collection, storage and use of medicinal herbs. Also, the natural resources will be put into the function of tourism through diversification of tourism offer and integration of medicinal herbs for medical, cosmetic and gastronomic purposes.
The establishment of sustainable models will contribute to the creation of new opportunities for improving tourism offers as one of the priority sectors for the development of municipalities in the cross-border area.
