Target groups: TG1: Households in rural cross border area with population of approximately 1000 people

TG3: Domestic and foreign tourists (approximately 10000 of them)

Main activities

1.1 Research conducted in at least 70 rural areas that have potential for tourism offer

1.2 Establishment of thematic trails

1.3 Specific small scale infrastructure improvements in at least 40 locations

1.4 Trainings on provision of tourism services

2.1 Development of printed promotional materials and video

2.2 Upgrade of web portals with information on newly developed offer

2.3 Organization of familiarization trip for tour operators to present new services

Achieved results:
  • Organised 51 capacity-building events, including field visits and trainings for tourism service providers.
  • Reached and trained 328 participants from Serbia and Montenegro through field visits and training activities.
  • Improved capacities of tourism stakeholders in hospitality, service diversification, customer relations and sustainable tourism practices.
  • Organised joint and local trainings in Serbia and Montenegro.
  • Developed small-scale tourism infrastructure, including 20 resting points, 12 camping sites, 5 wild herb gardens, 5 info boards, 32 info boards for katuns.
  • Procured 10 e-scooters and 10 e-bicycles to diversify the tourism offer in Nova Varoš.
  • Produced and distributed promotional materials, including brochures, visibility materials, branded items and promotional videos.
  • Produced 3 promotional videos for tourism promotion and project visibility.
  • Upgraded the websites www.katunroads.me and www.zlatar.org with project-related content.
  • Achieved 2,400 visits to tourism websites and project-related web pages.
  • Organised 3 promotional events, including conferences and a fam trip.
  • Reached 121 participants through promotional and information events.
  • Achieved 53,892 views through social media promotion activities.
