The final conference within the Youth Start Up project was held on 18 December 2025 at Hotel Pljevlja in Pljevlja. The event gathered representatives of local governments, ministries, educational institutions, the business sector, young entrepreneurs, media representatives, and the interested public.

The Youth Start Up project has entered its final phase. The Municipality of Pljevlja is the lead partner, while project partners include the Municipality of Sjenica from the Republic of Serbia and ADP-Zid from Montenegro.

The first part of the conference featured an opening session highlighting the importance of this cross-border project for local communities, as well as the significance of EU funds in the EU accession process.

The second part of the conference focused on the role and importance of the media in increasing the visibility and promotion of entrepreneurship. On this occasion, the “Recommendations Document for Improving Local Policies Supporting Youth Entrepreneurship in the Cross-Border Area of Montenegro and Serbia” was presented.

This was followed by presentations of 24 business ideas developed during the first and second years of the project. Young entrepreneurs from Pljevlja and Sjenica showcased their innovative ideas, demonstrating the strength, creativity, and potential that young people bring to local economic development.

During the conference, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between “Tanasije Pejatović” High School from Pljevlja and “Jezdimir Lović” High School from Sjenica, formalizing the continuation of cooperation between these educational institutions in the future.

The conference concluded with an engaging panel discussion on examples of good practice in entrepreneurship development, the importance of inter-institutional cooperation, and the key factors influencing young people’s interest in entrepreneurship within local communities.
