March 18, 2024, Pljevlja –  In the hall of the Pljevlja Municipality Assembly, the first National Conference was held as part of the implementation of the “Youth Start UP”.  Municipality of Pljevlja as a leading partner is implementing this project with two project partners, the Municipality of Sjenica from Republic of Serbia and the NGO “ADP- Zid” from Montenegro.

The National conference was organized as one of the activities of the “Youth Start UP” project and brought together a large number of guests: the director of the Directorate for Access to the Labor Market in the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Montenegro, representatives of the Municipality of Pljevlja, representatives of the project partners – the Municipality of Sjenica and the NGO “ADP – Zid”, guests from the programme region, a large number of business entities and non-governmental organizations from the territory of the municipality of Pljevlja, educational institutions, as well as media representatives. This event aimed to inform the target groups and potential stakeholders as well as the general public about the overall, specific objectives and expected results of the project.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to increased employability and foster the creation of working places for youth in the cross-border area.

The Youth Start UP project is implemented in the cross-border region of Montenegro – Serbia, which includes the municipalities of Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, Rožaje and Petnjica in Montenegro, as well as Sjenica, Prijepolje, Nova Varoš and Priboj in Serbia.

The “Youth Start UP” project began on October 2, 2023 and duration of the project is 24 months, while the approved EU grant amounts to EUR 212.921,23.
