The 4th meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee was held in Belgrade, on 25th of November, on the occasion of the closing the second Call for Proposals for Cross-border Programme Serbia-Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).
The meeting was attended by members of the Programme Joint Monitoring Committee, a representative of the Delegation of the European Union (DEU) to the Republic of Serbia, as well as the members of technical assistance projects to the Operating structures in Serbia and Montenegro. On behalf of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Andrew Headey, Head of Thematic Section welcomed the meeting. He stated that this Programme is important as a very effective and practical and tool that strengthen regional cooperation and reinforce good neighboring relations.
Main Outputs of the meeting were:
– JMC members informed about the activities that JTS carried out in order to promote the Programme;
– JMC members informed about the status of 13 projects contracted within the 1st CfP;
– Rules of Procedure of the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) endorsed and members nominated;
– Annual Work Plan prepared by JTS presented, adopted by JMC members.
