As part of the cross-border project “Youth Start Up,” a “Start Up” forum was held in Pljevlja on Friday, 28 November 2025.
Young people from the Municipality of Sjenica and the Municipality of Pljevlja took part in this project activity, presenting 15 project ideas. The forum provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas developed during the second year of the project, as well as to connect young people aged 18 to 30 from the cross-border area and showcase their innovativeness.
The project began in October 2023, with the Municipality of Pljevlja as the lead partner, while the project partners are the Municipality of Sjenica from the Republic of Serbia and the NGO ADP-Zid from Montenegro. ![]()
Project manager Nataša Marković from the Office of the Manager of the Municipality of Pljevlja addressed those present, expressing her satisfaction that the cross-border “Youth Start Up” project had entered its final phase.
“Through their entrepreneurial ideas, the participants presented all the strength that youth brings. The goal of the forum is for young people to present their ideas, to network, exchange ideas and good practices, and to guide us further in our entrepreneurial work,” she concluded.
The “Youth Start Up” project is being implemented in the Serbia–Montenegro cross-border region, which includes the municipalities of Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, Rožaje, and Petnjica in Montenegro, as well as Sjenica, Prijepolje, Nova Varoš, and Priboj in the Republic of Serbia. The project is funded within the Third Call of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia–Montenegro 2014–2020.
The overall goal of the project is to contribute to increasing employability and encouraging the creation of jobs for young people in the cross-border area.
