In September 4-9, 2024 an Eco Camp was organized on Golija in the Municipality of Ivanjica (SRB) for elementary school students from Ivanjica and Gusinje as part of the project ” Clean community for a sustainable environment and nature – CLEAN”.
The eco camp brought together a total of 20 students of 7th, 8th and 9th grade from “Kirilo Savić” Elementary School from Ivanjica and “Džafer Nikočević” Elementary School from Gusinje. This camp, located on the Dajić hill on the Golija mountain, gave the participants the opportunity to acquire new knowledge about environmental protection and connect with nature through various activities.
During the five-day stay, the students participated in education about types of waste and recycling, orientation in nature, tree planting and scouting skills. Activities such as orienteering competition, archery and adventure park attracted special attention. In addition, every evening was enriched with music and open-air cinema. 
Through various activities, the students learned about the importance of preserving nature, they actively participated in environmental actions of waste collection and landscaping, which contributed to the development of environmental awareness and responsibility towards the natural environment. Through playing and learning the participants gained invaluable experience that will encourage them to be responsible conservationists in the future.
The CLEAN project is implemented by the mentioned two municipalities, and is co-financed by the European Union within the financial instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) through the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia – Montenegro 2014-2020. The contract for co-financing with the funds of the European Union was signed with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia – Sector for contracting and financing programs from the EU funds.
The implementation of the project began on December 24, 2022 and will last two years, until December 23, 2024. The total value of the project is 389,635 euros, of which the contribution of the European Union is 330,800 euros.
