Organized on the occasion of concluding grant contracts related to projects submitted within the 2nd Call for Proposal under the Cross-Border Programme Serbia-Montenegro, which is financed from IPA funds.

The Joint Technical Secretariat of the Cross-border Programme Serbia – Montenegro, the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and the European Integration Office of the Republic of Serbia, organized on 20 December 2012 a Contract Award Ceremony for the beneficiaries whose projects have been awarded under the Second Call for Proposals within the Cross-border Programme Serbia – Montenegro. The Contract Award Ceremony was held at the Apart Hotel “”Premier”” in Podgorica. At the opening of the Contract Award Ceremony, the participants and the guests were addressed by Ms. Snežana Radović, General Director, General Directorate for Coordination of EU Assistance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro, Ms. Donata von Sigsfeld; task manager the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro , and Ms. Sanda Simić, Assistant Director; Department for Cross-Border and Transnational Cooperation Programmes, European Integration Office, Government of Serbia.


They underlined the importance of the cross-border cooperation programmes and explained that, by implementing these projects, foundations for new cross-border cooperation and development of the cross-border regions are being made. Implementation of these projects sends a sound message of the importance of the European integration process even to the far and less developed parts of our countries.

The Second Open Call for Proposals for the Cross-border Programme Serbia – Montenegro aroused significant attention of potential applicants: applicants from Montenegro and Serbia submitted 103 joint project proposals out of which 15 project proposals which received the highest scores under the evaluation were selected for financing in total euro 3,256,653.32 of IPA funds was awarded to these projects.
