BUDVA, 27 May 2011 – The European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Füle visited Montenegro to participate at conference called “Dialogue Montenegro – EU” organised by the National Council for European Integrations. Speaking at conference Commissioner Füle stated that Montenegro has achieved a lot, and still needs to show convincing results in order to move to the next stage of European integration.”I am positive that Montenegro, with its constructive, open and inclusive approaches, but most importantly with the energy of its people and the solid political consensus which already exist, will make good progress on its European path, and become an example to follow in the region”, Commissioner Füle said.

The Commissioner stated that the country is moving in the right direction and it should not slow down but further increase its pace towards the EU Commissioner Füle commended the increasingly commitment and efforts of all stakeholders to address shortcomings indentified in the Commission Opinion, in particular the seven key priorities.
