Target groups: 1. Accommodation (over 680 providers) and food providers, sports clubs, NGOs, 10 outdoor guides, researchers, birders; 2. Members of local communities, including youth, women and elderly, 3. Public institutions (4 municipalities, 1 National Park, and 2 Special Nature Reserves)
Commencement date and project duration:  01.10.2024, 24 months
Overall objective:  To create a joint innovative tourism product related to forest tourism in the cross-border area between Serbia and Montenegro.
Specific objective(s): 1. To develop a niche forest tourism offer by creating unique forest experiences which will be available to visitors in the region as well as to the local inhabitants;

2. To provide capacity building and training to local rural and forest tourism stakeholders: digital content creation, training for guides and tourism providers;

3. To conduct small scale investments for enhancement of joint innovative forest and rural tourism offer, such as trails with forest baths and forest therapies, smart/solar benches, and bird feeding stations which will be effectively promoted

Estimated results: 1.1. One “Assessment of forest tourism assets in the CB area” developed;

1.2. One unique forest tourism itinerary developed; 10 tourism operators linked by the itineraries; 15 operators offering new itineraries; 1 innovative niche offer focusing on youth developed.

2.1. One forest guiding programme developed

2.2. Four capacity building events organized for tourist guides / guards with special know-how about forest tourism, 10 tourist guides certified

3.1. Twenty km of trails with forest baths and forest therapies developed/ marked, light infrastructure placed (2 smart/solar benches, bird feeding stations and observatories – 3 in Serbia and 2 in MNE); 1 tourist info-board placed;

3.2. 80.000 people reached by social media promotion;

3.3. Two promotional events organized; 200 participants in info/promotional events.

A3.1. Application of light infrastructure:

3.1.1. Five birdwatching feeding spots and small observatories placed 3.1.2 Marking and refining of 20 km of forest recreational trails in Žabljak and Uvac

A3.2. Creation of joint CB brand, social media coverage and organization of the press trip
