On 11 June 2024, a workshop on “Project Proposal Preparation within the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia–Montenegro 2021–2027” was held in Sjenica. The workshop was organised by the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro, with support from the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme, in preparation for the upcoming call for project proposals.

The event was attended by over 40 representatives from national and local institutions and non-governmental organisations. During the training, participants were provided detailed information about the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between the two countries, including its goals, structure, and priorities. Key aspects of the project cycle and project development were also covered, alongside practical advice on applying, preparing a logical framework matrix, and budgeting. All interested attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers.

The workshop was also attended by Special Advisor to the Minister of European Integration Tibor Pinter, Advisor to the Minister Mihajilo Dašić, and Head of the Department for Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes with EU Candidate Countries Irena Komazec Cvetković.

The Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia–Montenegro 2021–2027 is funded by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III), with the aim of strengthening socio-economic development in the cross-border area between Serbia and Montenegro.
