A Startup camp for young people was held in the premises of the Regional Innovation Startup Center in Priboj, which lasted from December 18 to 22, 2023. This unique event brought together 25 talented high school students from Priboj, Prijepolje and Nova Varoš, who through an interactive program of training, lectures, presentations and workshops had the opportunity to develop and improve their capacities for identifying and developing innovative ideas.
During the five-day duration of the camp, high school students had the support of renowned experts and trainers, who helped the participants create the basis for potentially successful startups. The program included topics such as the definition of a startup, identification and solving problems in the market, familiarization with the Lean Canvas model, familiarization with the innovative ecosystem of Serbia, as well as with available sources of financing, which gave young people an insight into the real business environment by acquiring practical knowledge.
One of the most exciting moments during the camp was the presentation of innovative ideas by the participants to the expert jury.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness of the importance of innovation among young people, and to create a bridge between the educational system and the business world. The Zlatibor Regional Development Agency, as one of the leaders in supporting innovation, continues with activities that contribute to the strengthening of innovation culture among young people, which encourages the further development of entrepreneurship in the Zlatibor region.
The startup camp for youth is implemented as part of the Beyond project, which is co-financed by the European Union through the IPA CBC Programme Serbia-Montenegro 2014-2020.
