The startup camp, which was held in Nikšić at the premises of IPC Tehnopolis from November 22-28, gathered 25 talented high school students from Nikšić and Pljevlja, who through an interactive program of training, lectures, presentations and workshops had the opportunity to develop and improve their capacities for identification and development of innovative ideas.

After getting acquainted with the basics of startups and the Design thinking workshop, the participants worked hard with the mentor on the validation and commercialization of ideas and their successful preparation for market entry.

On the Demo Day, 5 great ideas were presented that the teams developed during the seven intensive days of the camp. According to the opinion of the expert jury, the best idea was presented by the Innovation Minds team, which consisted of students from the  High School “Stojan Cerović” from Nikšić.

This initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of innovation among young people, and to create a bridge between the educational system and the business world. Technopolis, as a leader in supporting innovation, continues with activities that contribute to strengthening the innovation culture among young people, which encourages the further development of Montenegrin entrepreneurship.

The startup camp for youth is implemented as part of the Beyond project, which is co-financed by the European Union through the IPA CBC Programme Serbia-Montenegro 2014-2020.
