Zlatar hosted participants from two important training sessions on April 23 and 24, 2025, as part of the Joint Actions for th Rural Tourism Development  project. These trainings brought together rural tourism service providers from Zlatar and northern Montenegro, with herbalist and journalist Momčilo Antonijević sharing his expertise on the use of medicinal herbs in gastronomy and cosmetics.

The first training, From Forest to Table – Medicinal Herbs in Gastronomy, demonstrated how wild medicinal herbs can enrich cuisine and improve health. Participants learned about traditional dietary practices and meal preparation, culminating in a tasting of natural specialties. This sparked discussions on enhancing tourism offerings through innovative culinary approaches.

The second day was dedicated to Medicinal Herbs in the Service of Beauty, where attendees discovered how to use herbs for skincare, create natural cosmetic products, and understand the basics of aromatherapy. These hands-on sessions inspired rural tourism providers to develop unique experiences for their guests.

The project is implemented by the Zlatar Tourist Organization, the Regional Development Agency Bjelasica, Komovi, Prokletije, and the Municipality of Šavnik.
