On February 28, 2024, in the Municipality of Ivanjica, the handover of a container and a specialized vehicle to the Public Utility Company “Ivanjica” was organized by the Municipality of Ivanjica as part of the project “Clean Community for a sustainable environment and nature – CLEAN”.
With the aim of contributing to environmental protection in the local community, the municipality of Ivanjica additionally equipped the existing infrastructure by purchasing 7 underground containers for municipal waste disposal. As part of the project, a specialized vehicle worth 90,500 euros was purchased for the needs of PUK “Ivanjica”.
The President of the Municipality of Ivanjica, Momčilo Mitrović, officially handed over the communal equipment acquired through the project to the director of the JKP “Ivanjica” company, Aleksandar Mitrović, in order to increase technical capacities and significantly improve their work. Mr. Mitrović expressed his gratitude and emphasized the importance of this project for the local community since the implementation contributes to the provision of more efficient public services to citizens.
The project is implemented by the Municipality of Gusinje and the Municipality of Ivanjica and is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the financial instrument of pre-accession assistance (IPA II) through the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia – Montenegro 2014-2020.
The implementation of the project began on December 24, 2022 and will last for two years, until December 23, 2024. The total value of the project is 389,635 euros, of which the contribution of the European Union is 330,800 euros.
