Nikšić, 14.12.2023. At the opening conference held at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center “Technopolis”, the project “Cross-Border Route – Green Eyes” was presented, which is financed within the IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Serbia – Montenegro 2014-2020. The partners in the project are the Nikšić Municipality and the Sandžak Regional Tourist Organization from Novi Pazar, while the Nikšić Tourist Organization is an associated partner.
The project will last 24 months, and the total budget is €179,249.41, of which 77% is the EU contribution. In addition to creating a new tourist route and printing a map of tourist resources, numerous activities will be implemented within the project, such as: opening a tourist info point in Nikšić, purchasing a tourist catamaran for Lake Gazivode in Novi Pazar, equipping the area next to Lake Krupac in Nikšić and the lake Gazivode in Novi Pazar, organization of educational workshops for tourism workers, creation of a cross-border tourism network, organization of an academic conference on lake tourism, development of a mobile application for a new tourist route, creation of a tourist promotional video – Digital Storytelling, as well as the organization of two promotional pilot tours.
